lyrics

It’s just another day. I get out of my bed; I kiss my wife.
And I’m feeling good.
I brush my teeth, then I have coffee and toast, I’m bored with the news.
So, I throw my newspaper down.
I hug my kids, then I wave them goodbye, the sun is shining.
I put my sunglasses on.

Arriving at the precinct, I say hi to the boys. I open my locker.
Now I’m wearing blue.
I change when I change, I feel a certain strength, like I’ve grown in height.
I’m with my brothers now.
We can’t be touched when we are wearing the blue, I know they’ve got my back.
That’s just the way it is.

I put my knee on your neck, cause I don’t care if you breathe.
I put my knee on your neck, for you there is no reprieve.
I put my knee on your neck; I squeeze out all your hope.
I put my knee on your neck, cause you’re a waist of rope.

Patrolling the streets protecting property, we were doing our job
and he got in our way.
I deliver the law, it was being broke; why should I take a chance?
This cop wants to survive.
So, I took it too far, but that’s been done before; don’t think I’ll lose my job?
And I’m still getting my pay.

It’s just another day. It’s just bad luck that he died. You say I am to blame?
I have to disagree.
Eyes within phones, I cannot turn them blind, the truth goes social.
Now I’m a bad apple, rotten to the core?
I love my kids; I love my wife, my life. I tried to make my family proud.

I put my knee on your neck, cause I don’t care if you breath.
I put my knee on your neck, for you there is no reprieve.
I put my knee on your neck; I squeeze out all your hope.
I put my knee on your neck, cause you’re a waist of rope.

Lord of mercy; what’s going on?

" I saw the perpetrators of this "music"

a huge man in black stood out in front plucking a bass like it was a toy.

they are "the babédox..." the driver told me.

later on i spoke with the bass man in black: "who are you?" I asked."what does this all mean?"

"We are the BabéDox.." he replied, "The name is rooted in arts beyond time - ask me no more!"
